Things to Consider When Designing your Advertising.

There are many ways to advertise your products and services, but a lot of people tend to make mistakes over and over again. These errors can result in very frustrating results for your business. Part of the job of advertising companies is to analyze your offer to direct your advertising efforts and budget effectively.

At Twelve12, we want to share some important aspects of advertising to keep in mind.

Communicate with your customer. Sometimes you might find yourself telling your clients what they should think about a product.  This is usually an outdated form of advertising.  You can also get so excited about your business or products that you forget that there are other options, that consumers are aware of this, and some companies exaggerate or even lie about the quality or features of their offerings too. This only leads to customers becoming disillusioned because we couldn’t meet their expectations and they will probably go to a different supplier next time. We should be designing our offers for the most adequate market and communicate with them, adding value to our product and not only meeting their expectations but surpassing them.

Talk to the right market niche. You don’t have to be the best product or service with the best quality out there to have a great business. What you need to do is to find the right people for the type of product or service that you supply. If you don’t have the best attributes of your market, but you have a very attractive price, focus on the people who are willing to sacrifice quality or performance over price and deliver the best results or product for that niche. If you are not cheap, but you have great quality, go to the group of customers that are willing to pay any price as long as you meet their quality expectations.

Effectiveness over beauty. You don’t have to go with elegant, beautiful or stylish ads; there are a lot of examples of ads that are jarring, loud, and annoying – but amazingly effective. It all depends on the type of product or service and the market that you are serving. If you are serving a low-income niche and your ads look too “high-end”, people will probably be afraid of even asking about your product. If you are servicing a high-end market and your ads are not designed to appeal to this market, they will not even bother to look into your offer.
