Why Keep Your Brand Promises?

brand promises

Working with new brands is something that we love doing at Twelve12. Introducing a new product or company to the world is always a very exciting time. As entrepreneurs, there’s nothing better than the rush that we get when other people believe in our dreams and become part of them.

As product developers, we get to do a lot of research and trials to find a new idea and there’s no greater reward than to see people engaging with your new product or service and watch their happy reactions to them. But it is not always an easy thing to do and we have seen many mishaps with unreliable Orange County Branding services that fail to deliver.

But what happens to a product or a company that promises to deliver certain characteristics and fails to do so? As consumers, we feel completely betrayed; at the very least, it’s very disappointing.

I’m not exaggerating. Physiologically, that feeling is processed in the same way by the brain.  That’s why you can see people going crazy mad on some YouTube videos over a refund or some silly thing at a supermarket. At some point, the brain turns to the animalistic side and we forget that we are supposed to be living in a civilized world. If you have ever experienced a betrayal before, you know what I’m talking about, and it is easier to trust a complete stranger than to trust an old friend or partner that betrayed us. The same thing happens with a company; once we reach the point of having a chemical reaction in our bodies, it will become very hard to trust a business again. Therefore, as a brand, you should always keep your promises and deliver what you are supposed to.

The brand’s message should be clear and as loud as it can be, leaving no room for confusion. Be prepared for the occasional customer that is never happy and try to sort problems with a fair approach and a cool head. Find ways to deliver great customer service even if you can’t help the person, such as a discount or a coupon. It is more worth giving something up (within reasonable terms) than to engage in a public debate with an unreasonable person.

Is there a better way to build up a brand? It depends on so many variables as every company is different, and what your company needs might not be the right choice for another. At Twelve 12 we believe in stepping outside of the box and delivering innovative and exciting strategies to communicate your message effectively to your potential customers. Give us a call today and find out what the Orange County branding experts have for you.
